A big congratulations to our spring scholarship recipient Brayden McLoughlin! He is a dedicated ball player and has the honor of being invited to play on a travel team with GPS. He exudes a strong work ethic, leadership, resilience and a dedication to his teammates. He represents the type of player that Jeff would love to coach! Congratulations Brayden 🎉🎉. We are looking forward to watching you play this season. (Spring 2025)
Jack Laake
Georgia Grace and I are so excited to recognize the first recipient of the Jeff Ontiveros Field of Dreams scholarship. Jake Laake is a dedicated young man who loves baseball and we are so honored to be able to award him the scholarship. He exudes many of the qualities that Jeff instilled in his players. He is a hard worker, has respect for the game, and has learned many valuable lessons in the fatigue, frustration, and challenges of the game. He shared with us he gives “110% effort and hard work no matter the circumstances!”
GG and I were able to connect with Jake and his mom and we all shared much excitement in that moment. The last thing Jake said to me when we ended our conversation was, “I will make Jeff proud”. I am proud that we get to honor Jeff in this way and I am excited for the future for Jake. Let’s welcome and congratulate Jake on this award! (Fall 2024)
